Charismatic leadership can be found at different levels of an organization, but usually at the top. A charismatic leader is able to weave a spell to captivate the public and causing them to believe in a cause as the leader does. This leadership style is most effective when there’s a time of uncertainty and a single voice is needed to unite the diverse crowd. When there’s chaos, individuals will look for individuals whom they can trust and believe to follow automatically, and a charismatic leader can rally a large number of individuals. Characteristics of Charismatic Leaders – These leaders are usually defined by: individuals who’ve a capability to inspire by their words – Attractive character – Good looking and well built – Big, thrilling visions – Inspiration by Words – A charismatic leader is able to use his oratory skills to inspire people.

Attractive Personality – Charismatic leaders typically have attractive personalities, they’re friendly and extroverted towards others and will usually be well liked by many people they meet. 

They understand that whenever individuals like them, these individuals are also more prone to trust and follow. Good looking – Although not always the case, they’re usually well groomed and pleasant looking to the eye. This way, they attract people at all levels: spirit, soul and body. Big, thrilling visions – Not all charismatic leaders are good looking or have attractive personalities, but one key factor of charismatic leadership is their vision of a big and better future. They do not necessarily have to be attractive to the audience, but if their vision is noble, believable and inspiring, they too, can rally people around them for a cause. 

Developing Charismatic Leadership – Not everybody is born to be a charismatic leader. While it’s no doubt, that everyone can be a leader, not everybody has big thrilling visions to offer to the world to follow. Not everybody is good with words, and not everybody has attractive personalities. However, there are nonetheless lessons you may take from observing charismatic leaders. Learn personal grooming.
